Jacqueline Hudec-Clifton

Jacqueline Hudec-Clifton is a self-styled country & blues singer/guitar player. She grew up in Leader, and now calls Swift Current her home with her husband Laird.  

As a graduate of the Uof R with a BA in Theatre & a past member of the U of R’s Concert Choir, Jacqueline continues to entertain audiences.  Throughout the years many different artists have influenced her style of singing such as Bonnie Raitt, Sue Foley, Billie Holiday, Alison Krause & Jodee Messina.  Since moving to Swift Current in 1995, Jacqueline has been featured with bands such as Prairie Storm, The Hudec Brothers, The Remainders & Bakersfield.  From 1997 -2000 she sang lead and played rhythm guitar in the country-rock band, Cactus Blue . In 2003, Jackie performed with No Static in the Swift Current Allied Arts Council Connector Concert.  She continues to play many different Venues in Swift Current & area as well as work full time at the Swift Current Library.
