Shila Marie

Shila has wanted to be a recording artist since she was a little girl. She practiced endlessly on a simple karaoke machine in her room, singing along to everything from Reba McIntyre to Britney Spears. After graduating from high school, she attended a local vocal school, and started performing seriously in 2001.

After a short stint as a pop artist (which included some local radio airplay), she made the decision to return to her country roots. In 2004, she travelled to Nashville to record her originals "I'll Just Leave The Lonely To You" and "My Love Goes That Far" with producer Clyde Brooks (whose illustrious career has included working with the likes of Dolly Parton, George Strait, and Kenny Chesney, to name but a few). She moved to Edmonton, Alberta in 2005 in order to better network with musicians and other industry people. And network she has. She receives invaluable career advice from Paul Mascioli (of Mascioli Entertainment) and in 2006 has played with some of the best talent Alberta has to offer!
